NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The National Weather Service confirmed an 11th tornado formed in Lacombe during the June 18-19 severe weather outbreak.

Around 7:45 p.m. Monday, officials with NWS New Orleans said this EF1 tornado touched down around 5 a.m. on June 18 near Bayou Cane and moved across Highway 190 west of Lacombe. They also said it is likely it came ashore as a waterspout from Lake Pontchartrain.

The tornado moved for less than a mile and lasted around two minutes, with peak winds of 95 mph and a maximum width of 90 yards. Officials said it only caused minor tree damage.

Earlier in the day Monday, the NWS New Orleans issued the update that two separate tornadoes struck Eden Isles within one minute of each other.

An EF0 tornado touched down in Eden Isles at 6:49 a.m. June 18, just one minute before a separate EF1 tornado touched down four miles southeast of the community at 6:50 a.m.

The EF0 tornado moved east for 3.28 miles with winds of 80 mph and a maximum width of 350 yards. The EF1 tornado tracked 12.42 miles northeast into Mississippi with winds up to 105 mph and a maximum width of 300 yards.

Widespread branches and tree debris was found in Eden Isles along with a few houses with minor damage. One house had a failure at the garage where the wind appeared to have been pushed into the garage.

The tornado damaged businesses near Interstate 10 as it crossed over with a few more homes damaged and trees down in Lakeshore Village.

The widespread light damage across Eden Isles made the track difficult to find, the NWS said. The additional damage was likely inflow from straight line winds or debris that was swirling out of the tornado.

No fatalities or injuries were reported from either Eden Isle tornado.
