Several officers injured while responding to Harley Bike Week brawls

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF/Gray News) - Police said several officers were injured while responding Harley Bike Week.

North Myrtle Beach officers said that they were called out to several assaults and fights on Saturday night in the bar area

Multiple officers were hurt while responding, a representative with the department said. One officer was taken to a hospital but was expected to be OK.

“Violence, disorderly conduct, and assaultive behavior will not be tolerated in our city. Officers maintained a strong presence throughout the event and continued proactive enforcement efforts to address criminal activity and ensure the safety of everyone attending,” said a representative with the department.

Police did not confirm how many people were arrested, but did say that “several” arrests were made.
