Staying hot & humid this weekend

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - It’s a classic July pattern across the ArkLaTex over the next week with heat, humidity and a few pop-up storms each afternoon.

For this evening, conditions look great for any barbeques and for fireworks displays. An isolated storm can’t be ruled out prior to sunset but most of the region will stay dry. Overnight lows will be in the low to mid 70s.

The weekend looks mostly sunny, hot and humid. Highs both Saturday and Sunday will climb into mid and upper 90s with feels like temperatures in the 100 to 105 range. An isolated, heat-driven storm can’t be ruled out each afternoon but most of the region will remain dry.

Looking ahead to next week, it’s more of the same. We’ll see highs in the mid to upper 90s each day with feels like temperatures consistently in the triple digits. A few storms will be possible each afternoon but nothing widespread is expected.

Have a great 4th!
