BOSSIER CITY, La. (KSLA) - The COVID-19 pandemic has affected all of us, including some of our heroes right here in Louisiana.
“They are starting to let people back in for appointments. I had a CT scan the other day. I had some injections in my lower back, but if this ramps back up they’re going to have to shut down the elective stuff,” said Ron Delaney.
Delaney served in the United States Air Force for 21 years from 1984 to 2005. He has spent time at four different airbases including Barksdale Air Force base, where he retired.
Since his retirement, he says helping veterans and children at the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars Post 4558 is his passion.
“We start with the children and hopefully when it comes down to it we can make an impact on somebody’s life,” Delaney said.
