Facebook threat suspect arrested, held on $500,000 bond

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

A Shreveport man wanted in connection with terroristic threats made on social media has been arrested.

Police say 36-year-old Ryan Tarrell Blaze, of the 1700 block of Legardy Street, was arrested Tuesday afternoon for suggesting he was going to kill people attending night clubs in the Shreveport area.

Shreveport Police Violent Crimes investigators reportedly began their investigation into Blaze on Monday, April 17.

Based on information and evidence gathered during the investigation, Agents with the United States Marshal’s Office Fugitive Task Force, along with members of the Shreveport Police Department’s Narcotics Unit say they were successful in locating Blaze near the intersection of West 70th Street and Fern Avenue. 

According to authorities Blaze was immediately taken into police custody without incident. 

Blaze, who now faces a charge of Terrorizing, was transported to Shreveport Police headquarters where he was interviewed by detectives assigned to the case. 

Following subsequent interviews with investigators, Blaze was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on the outstanding warrant for his arrest. 

His bond is set at $500,000.00
