SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - A Shreveport woman has been cited for her alleged role in an accident in southeast Shreveport in which a teenager was injured.

Stephanie Richey, 34, of the 9500 block of Cove Circle, faces a charge of hit-and-run driving.

A 13-year-old boy was struck by a gray Ford F-150 at 3:27 p.m. Wednesday in the 500 block of Thornhill Avenue.

The student had recently gotten off a school bus but the bus already was gone when the accident happened, police have said.

The child was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries authorities said did not appear to be life-threatening.

Authorities said witnesses who got the pickup's license plate and gave it to investigators played a crucial role in identifying Richie.
