SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - A teenager has been hit by a vehicle in Shreveport.

The 13-year-old boy was injured in a major hit-and-run accident at 3:27 p.m. Wednesday on East 75th Street between Line and Thornhill avenues, Caddo 911 dispatch records show.

The student had recently gotten off a school bus but the bus already was gone when the accident happened, police Cpl. Marcus Hines said.

The child has been taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries authorities said did not appear to be life-threatening.

Now police are looking for the gray Ford F-150 pickup that left the scene after striking the boy, Hines said.

Authorities urge anyone with any information about the accident to contact Shreveport-Caddo Crime Stoppers by calling (318) 673-7373, visiting the organization's website, lockemup.org, or using the P3Tips app.
