Hempstead Sheriff names driver of tractor-trailer in school bus crash

HEMPSTEAD COUNTY, AR (KSLA) - Hempstead County Sheriff's Office has released the name of a tractor-trailer driver involved in a crash with a school bus on Monday.

James Raines, 55, of Texarkana, Arkansas was booked on charges of DWI (drugs); careless and prohibited driving; driving while license suspended and leaving the scene of an accident.

He is currently held in the Hempstead County Detention Center.

Six people were sent to a hospital. It happened on Monday afternoon U.S. Highway 67 at Hempstead County Road 189, near Fulton.
