East Texas parent arrested after bringing gun to middle school

HARRISON CO., TX (KSLA) - A Longview woman was behind bars after a gun was found on her person on a middle school campus.
Lorraine Haas, 43, of Longview is charged after she was discovered with a firearm at a Hallsville ISD school.
According to the Marshall News Messenger, Haas was a familiar face as she volunteered for the district.
Haas showed another adult that she had a gun hidden on her person, according to a notice from school officials.
She is licensed to carry a concealed weapon in Texas, however, she is not allowed to bring a gun on school property.
Her bond was set at $10,000. She has since bonded out.
