DESOTO PARISH, LA (KSLA) - Two people face drug charges as a result of a 10-month investigation in DeSoto Parish.

Tracy Carter, 49, and 31-year-old Marshun Deunte Jenkins have been in DeSoto Parish Detention Center since their arrests Friday.

That's when DeSoto Parish Narcotics Task Force members raided a unit at Logansport Apartments in the 200 block of North Bogle Road in Logansport.

Agents reportedly seized unspecified drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Now Carter is charged with five counts of distribution of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS) and one count each of possession of a Schedule I CDS, illegal use of a CDS in the presence of persons under age 17 and possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bonds total $78,200.

And Jenkins is charged with four counts of distribution of a Schedule I CDS, two counts of distribution of a Schedule II CDS and one count each of distribution of a Schedule IV CDS, possession of a Schedule I CDS and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bonds total $107,000.
