Man arrested in connection with shooting of 3-year-old toddler

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - A Shreveport man is accused of removing evidence from the scene where a 3-year-old boy was shot in one of his legs.

The shooting happened just before 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

Police were told the shooting occurred in a vehicle in the 2700 block of Murray Street, but officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

Detectives began interviewing multiple people about the shooting.

Meantime, police said, 24-year-old Lacory Donell Henry arrived at University Health seeking treatment for a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his anus.

Detectives said witnesses indicated that Henry, of the 7100 block of Wilshire Drive, was connected to the shooting in which the boy was wounded.

After being released from the hospital, Henry was arrested at 11:30 p.m. Saturday and booked into Shreveport City Jail at 11:54 p.m. on a charge of obstruction of justice, booking records show.
