SPD searching for man accused of domestic abuse battery

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Shreveport police are searching for a man accused of attacking his ex-girlfriend in June.
Kelvin Higgins, 22, is charged with one count of domestic abuse battery with strangulation, according to Shreveport police.
On June 18, Shreveport police got a call to the 3400 block of Fernwood Lane regarding a battery. On the scene, officers made contact with a woman that said her ex-boyfriend attacked her inside her own home. She added that he strangled her and then bit her at least twice, according to police.
A warrant has been issued for Higgins' arrest following an investigation. His bond is not net.
