TEXARKANA, TX (KSLA) - The family and friends of a Texarkana woman missing for 11 years say they don't want their love one forgotten.
The family of LaToya Grissom pleads for her to come home.
"For the love of god can they please tell us what happened to my daughter if they have any kind of decency," said Jacqueline Grissom, LaToya's mother.
Latoya was reported missing In September 2007. Police say she was apparently last seen getting in a dark-colored car near Sunset Apartments in Texarkana, Texas.
The family said they haven't given up looking for Latoya who left two kids at home.
"For her to be gone this long and she still alive and not reach out to her kids that's not right," said Zeritta Grissom, her sister.
"You know what it has done with me?" said Jacqueline Grissom." "I barely want to come out of the house. I've been depressed for 11 years I feel like somebody has snatched my heart out of my chest."
A spokesman for the Texarkana Texas police said 3 years after Latoya's disappearance investigators recovered her purse and other items but haven't received any new information on this case since 2013.
Now the non-profit organization "Royal Society Civil Rights Activist" is trying to help. This group next step is to put missing person flyer out in hopes someone will provide the information to bring LaToya home.
"Prove it," said Jacqueline Grissom. "Prove it. Let me find out where my daughter is at. If she is gone, let us bury her so we can move on with our life; Because I am never going to forget my daughter."
A spokesman for the Texarkana Texas Police said this case remains open but has been suspended pending any new information.
