Police seek help finding second suspect in Thrifty Liquor holdup

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Shreveport police investigators have identified the other man they think was involved in a liquor store holdup Tuesday night.

Authorities say they have a warrant to arrest 35-year-old Lucas Taylor on a charge of armed robbery.

The holdup at Thrifty Liquor at Hollywood at St. Vincent avenues was reported just after 10 p.m. Tuesday.

A gunman demanded money from a clerk then fled on foot and got into a vehicle.

Police followed a vehicle believed to have been used in the holdup for about two miles.

Then two people bailed out of it in the 2900 block of Amherst Street, authorities said.

That's when they took 33-year-old Donnie Ray Morgan, of the 6800 block of Lavender Street in Shreveport, into custody.

He was arrested at 3 a.m. Wednesday and booked into Shreveport City Jail, booking records show.

Morgan now is being held in Caddo Correctional Center, where he was booked at 2:45 a.m. Thursday on one count of armed robbery and as an in-state fugitive.

The other person eluded capture.

Shreveport-Caddo Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information leading to Taylor's arrest.

Authorities urge anyone with any information about him or the armed robbery to contact Shreveport-Caddo Crime Stoppers by calling (318) 673-7373, visiting the organization's website, lockemup.org, or using the P3Tips app.
