EAST TEXAS (KSLA) - East Texas authorities have released the names of the man and woman killed in a possible murder-suicide.

They are 41-year-old Tawanna Elaine Johnson, of Carthage, Texas, and 29-year-old Demontre Fitsjeriald Porter, of Beckville, Texas, the Panola County Sheriff's Office reports

Johnson was fatally shot Sunday morning at a residence on Farm-to-Market Road 959 north of Beckville.

Porter, the man suspected of killing her, then took his own life while sitting in a vehicle on Texas Highway 149 at Tatum, authorities have said.
