Shootout in Mooretown leaves police searching for gunmen, answers

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Residents of an apartment complex in Shreveport's Mooretown neighborhood are left stunned after a shootout on late Wednesday night.

Officers got the call around 9 p.m. to the Clear Horizons Apartment complex int he 4300 block of Illinois Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers found multiple cars damaged and three apartments struck by gunfire, according to SPD Spokesman Cpl. Marcus Hines.

There were no reported injuries and there are no suspects in custody.

Investigators are working to learn more about the incident.
