LSP cites speed as possible factor in wreck that killed 2

SABINE PARISH, LA (KSLA) - Authorities suspect excessive speed was a factor in a wreck in which two Sabine Parish men died.

Killed were 64-year-old Gary L. Carheel  and 41-year-old Herman D. Green, both of Zwolle.

The wreck happened about 6:40 p.m. Sunday on Louisiana Highway 191 near Louisiana Highway 482 just northwest of Zwolle.

Carheel was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo south on LA 191 at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the vehicle, according to Louisiana State Police.

Carheel and his passenger both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Louisiana State Police and Sabine Parish authorities investigated the wreck.
