Crews extinguish vacant house fire

BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) - Authorities in Bossier City are investigating a suspicious house fire after a vacant home caught fire early Monday morning.

According to firefighters, the house caught fire in the 100 block of West Colquitt Avenue in Bossier City just before 2:00 a.m.

Crews were able to gain control over the fire in approximately 20 minutes.

Investigators will comb through the home for more clues, but they believe the fire started near a front porch before spreading to the living room and attic. The investigation is now underway.

No one was hurt in the fire.
