Man arrested, accused of hitting ex-girlfriend in the head

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - A man wanted for allegedly hitting his ex-girlfriend in the head is now behind bars facing charges.
Shreveport police say 44-year-old Charles Washington was taken into custody in the 3900 block Greenwood Road charged with one count of aggravated battery.
Police say Washington allegedly used a stick to hit his ex-girlfriend in the head and on the shoulders.
Although the victim was injured, she is expected to be okay.
