UNION PARISH, LA (KNOE/KSLA) — A Louisiana teaching assistant is out on bond after being accused of having a relationship with one of her students.
Erin Ludwig, 39, is charged with having prohibited sexual conduct with her 17-year-old student at D'Arboone Woods Charter School in Union Parish, according to CBS affiliate, KNOE.
She turned herself in but is out on $10,000 bond.
The Union Parish Sheriff's Office says the relationship had lasted at least seven months. Sheriff Dusty Gates said the relationship started in October and ended in April before the student's graduation.
During those months, they both admit to sending text messages and photos. Law enforcement was alerted by a concerned parent.
KNOE reached out for a comment from D'Arboone Woods Charter School but was told the executive director is out until Monday.
