BOWIE COUNTY, TX (KSLA) - A young girl who was in a crash passed away from her injuries Monday afternoon, according to Texas DPS officials.

The 6-year-old girl was taken to a hospital in Little Rock after the crash on Thursday, July 12.

DPS troopers say the crash happened around 5:45 a.m. on Interstate 30 west of New Boston in Bowie County.

Troopers believe 33-year-old Lavaughn Tyrone Baker of Frisco, TX was driving a 2009 Infinity QX 35 west on I-30 when it went off the roadway to the right and rolled several times.

Baker and two males passengers, ages three and seven, were taken to a hospital in Texarkana with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Troopers.

Jenna Morales, a 31-year-old woman, also from Frisco, and three female passengers, ages four, six and seven, were taken to another hospital in Texarkana. All had non-life-threatening injuries except the 6-year-old.

The 6-year old Morales was then taken to a hospital in Little Rock where she later died.
