Rod Demery, of "Murder Chose Me," quits Caddo district attorney's office

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - A former Shreveport police detective who now hosts his own crime TV series has quit the Caddo district attorney's office.

Rod Demery, of "Murder Chose Me," told KSLA News 12 on Tuesday evening that he has resigned from his role as an investigator for the district attorney's office.

An e-mail from District Attorney James Stewart's office confirms that Demery no longer works there.

Demery said he plans to focus on more television projects.

When asked if he will run for mayor of Shreveport, he said no.

However, he said, he would be interested in becoming the city's police chief someday.
