BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) - Something brand new opened in the East Bank District on Friday — a beer garden.

Flying Heart Brewing closed down their front patio area, and a year ago owner Ben Hart came up with the idea to create a beer garden. The garden will allow more seating and an opportunity for people to enjoy their beer outside. The garden will also allow customers to bring their pets.

"It brings back that more casual outdoor atmosphere that we took away when we closed in our front patio, and it also makes us dog-friendly again," Hart said.

Hart is hoping that the garden will bring in more people from across the area.

"We're the only beer garden in Northwest Louisiana so it's kind of something new for this area," Hart said. We want to bring people from out of the area and let them realize what we have to offer, and get them to come back and enjoy the tourism and stuff we have to offer here."

Hart also added a permanent stage for outdoor music as well.
