Benteler Steel/Tube to hold two-day job fair

SHREVEPORT-BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) - Starting today, a Shreveport manufacturing company will hold a career fair.

Benteler Steel/Tube's career fair will kick off at 5 p.m. at Bossier Parish Community College's Emmett E. Cope Student Services, 6220 E. Texas Street.

Hours on Saturday will be 10 a.m to 3 p.m.

The career fair is searching for applicants skilled in hourly maintenance positions at Benteler Steel/Tube's Hot Rolling Mill in Shreveport.

Positions (with two to five years of industrial experience): maintenance technicians, millwrights, electrical technicians, CNC operators and lathe operators.

Benteler Steel/Tube offers competitive pay with production bonus opportunities. Shifts vary, depending on the plant area, and may be eight, 10 or 12-hour shifts, with potential rotations and weekend duties.

The company plans to hire up to an additional 75 skilled team members in the next six to eight months. Hiring will begin following the career fair.
