NEW BOSTON, TX (KSLA) - A portion of Interstate 30 in Bowie County is closed following a wreck on Thursday morning.
Crews got the call after 6 a.m. to westbound Interstate 30 near the 197 mile marker, that's west of New Boston.
Both westbound lanes are closed at this time.
According to officials on the scene, the vehicle heading westbound ran into the median, overcorrected, and ran off the interstate, across the access road at County Road 4010. The car flipped multiple times.
Seven people were injured in the crash and were sent for medical treatment. Some are reportedly children.
DriveTexas reports that motorists should expect delays and look for alternative routes this morning.
