3 arrested in homicide investigation
These three men have been charged with murder and aggravated assault, police say.

TEXARKANA, TX (KSLA) - Three men are behind bars after being accused of fatally shooting a man and wounding a woman Saturday morning in Texarkana, Texas.

Authorities have arrested 23-year-old Jacarie Antwon Sims, 22-year-old Dequlain Sims and 18-year-old Jacoby Demorse Johnson, all of Texarkana, Texas.

Police say each has been charged with one count each of murder and aggravated assault.

The shooting happened just before 4 a.m. Saturday at the victims' home in the 300 block of Brookwood Drive.

The three men allegedly went to the residence to confront 21-year-old Tracy Fielding, of Texarkana, Texas, about a marijuana purchase.

At some point during the argument, witnesses say Fielding flashed a shotgun and Dequalin Sims fired a handgun multiple times.

Fielding and 59-year-old Vickie Simpson, of Texarkana, Texas, both were shot several times.

Fielding died at the scene.

Simpson was taken to a hospital for treatment of wounds authorities said did not appear to be life-threatening.

Investigators say the three men fled in a black SUV.

They now are being held in the Bi-State Jail.

No bonds have been set.
