Shreveport firefighter arrested following alleged burglary of fire station

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - A Shreveport firefighter is charged following his alleged role in a burglary on Friday morning.

Michael Keener, 32, of Atlanta, Texas is charged with one count of simple burglary.

Shreveport police officers were called just after 11:30 a.m. to Shreveport Fire Station 4 on Milam Street regarding a burglary.

Firefighters at the fire station say Keener was currently on administrative leave when he asked to use the restroom.

Shortly after, fire personnel found him in an unauthorized area allegedly rummaging through a secured storage cabinet.

Investigators searched the scene, and evidence was collected. He was booked into to the Shreveport City Jail.
