PRESCOTT, AR (KSLA) - An East Texas man has been identified as the person killed in a two-vehicle wreck in Southwest Arkansas.
Arkansas State Police say he is 54-year-old Kevin Runnels, of the Bowie County city of Hooks.
Two people also were hurt in the wreck at 5:27 p.m. Tuesday on Interstate 30 near its juncture with U.S. Highway 371 at Prescott in Nevada County, Arkansas, a preliminary crash report shows.
They are 42-year-old Kimberly Runnels and 22-year-old Tabithia Runnels, both of Hooks.
Both were passengers in a 2006 Acura that Kevin Runnels was driving west in the right-hand lane of I-30.
While changing lanes, the narrative shows, the car struck a 2015 Ford's front fender on the passenger side.
The Acura then ran into the median, rolled over and struck several trees before coming to rest on the driver's side.
Nevada County Coroner David Gummeson pronounced Kevin Runnels dead at the scene at 6:10 p.m.
The two injured women were taken to a hospital in Hope, Ark., for treatment.
