SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Engaging and inspiring diverse groups of students by creating experiences that stimulate new ways of thinking and living. That's the goal of the organizers at the Shreveport Little Theater. It's the oldest continuously operating community theater in the United States.
The SLT Academy focuses on young performers while showcasing eight youth productions per year.
The company's summer camp gives children the opportunity to learn acting, singing, dancing, and fight choreography. This year's production, at the end of camp, will be Mary Poppins Jr.
The Shreveport Little Theater Summer Camp is for children ages 6-17. It runs July 23 through July 27. The hours are 8:50 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
