SPD: 2 men shot walking down Shreveport streets in separate incidents

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Shreveport police are investigating two separate shooting where men were injured while walking down streets on Tuesday.
The first shooting happened just after midnight near the intersection of Broadway Avenue and Illinois Street.
A man told police he was walking down Broadway towards Illinois when he heard gunshots and realized he had been shot in the right foot.
The man then reportedly called his girlfriend and she came and took him to a Shreveport hospital.
The second incident happened around 10:30 p.m. near the intersection of Southern Avenue and Indiana Street.
Police say the victim had just been dropped off at the intersection near six men who were standing on a porch. As the man walked away one of the men reportedly fired a shot hitting him in the hip.
Both victims were treated for non-life-threatening injuries and are expected to be OK.
Police say they do not know if the shootings are related at this time.
Both are under investigation.
