SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Detectives are looking a man who allegedly fired multiple shots toward Shreveport police officers.

Two officers reportedly pulled over a grey Chevrolet Impala regarding an issue with temporary tags.

That's when police say 20-year-old Isaiah J. Martin, of the 3000 block of Bibb Street in Shreveport, opened the car door and began shooting.

Officers returned fire.

It was not immediately known whether the Martin was struck.

This happened just before 4 p.m. Saturday on Wallace Avenue near Hattie Perry Park in Shreveport's Caddo Heights neighborhood.

No officer was wounded, and Martin ran off, police Cpl. Marcus Hines said.

The driver, 18-year-old Nicholas Parks, was taken into custody and charged with no driver's license and flight.

Police are searching for Martin, who is wanted on a charge of attempted first-degree murder of a police officer.

Authorities urge anyone with any information to contact Shreveport-Caddo Crime Stoppers by calling (318) 673-7373, visiting the organization's website, lockemup.org, or via its app, P3Tips.
