SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Benteler Steel will hold a career fair for its Shreveport site on Friday and Saturday, July 13-14.
The career fair will be at the Bossier Parish Community College in the Emmett E. Cope Student Services Building from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
The building is at is 6220 E. Texas St. in Bossier City.
The company plans to hire up to an additional 75 skilled team members in the next six to eight months to fill skilled hourly maintenance positions at the Benteler Steel/Tube's Hot Rolling Mill in Shreveport.
At the career fair, they are seeking maintenance technicians, millwrights, electrical technicians, CNC operators and lathe operators with two to five years of industrial experience.
Representatives from the company say they offer competitive pay with production based bonus opportunities.
Work shifts vary, depending on the plant area, and maybe 8, 10 or 12-hour shifts, with potential rotations and weekend duties.
Hiring will begin following the career fair after applicants go through a job-screening and pre-employment assessment process.
Applicants will be required to pass a drug screening and background check.
