Heavy rains possible on Thursday morning, possible storms on Friday

(KSLA) - We started the day with mostly cloudy skies, near calm winds and lows in the low to mid-70s.

Scattered rain was noted over much of the area and is moving slowly east trying to exit the area. The day ahead will find cloudy skies, light SW winds. isolated to scattered rain and storms, especially in the afternoon, with highs either side of 90. There could be areas of heavy rainfall and gusty winds with any storm that forms.

Lows tonight, with isolated rain will be in the low to mid-70s under cloudy skies.

Max heat index values will be much closer to 100 degrees.

With a stalled out front draped across the area, a few more storms will be possible on Friday. A strong storm or two can't be ruled out either.

Rain chances dwindle Friday a few storms could form under partly cloudy skies.

If storms form, they will be capable of gusty winds and possible hail. Lows will be in the low 70s and highs near 90.

Friday is going to be hot and humid as well. Highs will be in the low to mid-90s. Max heat index values could near or just above 100 degrees.

As we wrap up the work week and head into the weekend, our rain chances will go down and our sun chances will go up. Saturday and Sunday will be mostly sunny and hot. Highs will be in the low to mid-90s.

A stray shower or storm will be possible on Saturday and Sunday. However, most will not have to worry about dodging any raindrops this weekend.

Monday should be partly cloudy with lows in the mid-70s and highs in the mid-90s. There may be a few isolated storms. Isolated storms are possible Tuesday and Wednesday with lows in the 70s and highs in the low to mid-90s.
