SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - On Saturday, for the first time in Shreveport, you can participate in goat yoga.

Starting at 2 p.m. at the Jubilee Zoo, anyone age 13 years or older can interact with some baby goats.

This is a trending type of yoga practice.

And Quinn Strong, who is hosting the event, said she's had a lot of interest in it.

Those who plan to attend the event will need to bring a mat, water, a towel and anything else they may need.

You also will want to wear clothes in which you can easily move and that you don't mind getting a little dirty.

Strong will take you through a yoga sequence, and the goats will take part in the action.

The animals love to jump around and do what your doing, she said.

They will walk and run around and might jump on your back during some poses.

This event is great for people at any level of yoga.

Strong said it's particularly great for someone who never has done yoga to have a fun first experience.

The cost to participate is $24 and includes admission to the petting zoo afterward.

Child care available at a cost of $5 while you participate in the goat yoga event.

And don't worry if you can't make the event this weekend.

Strong has had so much interest that the event will be reoccurring every month.
