SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Shreveport police are investigating a shooting in which a man was wounded.

The gunfire in the city's Mooretown neighborhood was reported at 3:12 p.m. Monday, Caddo 911 dispatch records show.

Witnesses have told authorities that they heard several gunshots in the 4300 block of Long Street, police Cpl. Angie Willhite said.

Police say 36-year-old Harvis White was taken to a Shreveport hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound to one of his legs.

Now police are looking for someone in a tan or gray Honda Accord sedan.

White told police he got into an argument with a group of people in the roadway at Emerson Avenue and Long Street. That's when one of them pulled out a handgun and fired multiple shots at him and left the scene.
