2 wounded in Shreveport drive-by

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Shreveport police are searching for the person or persons responsible for a drive-by shooting Thursday night.

It happened just before 11 p.m. near the intersection of St. Vincent Avenue and West 80th Street.

Police were called to the hospital for a report of two men who were suffering from gunshot wounds.

Police say 23-year-old Ka'Vante Bryant and 27-year-old Bryan James were traveling along St Vincent Avenue when someone pulled up in a vehicle and started shooting at their vehicle.

James was reportedly shot in the right arm and back and Bryant had a minor forehead injury police say was likely caused by glass shrapnel.

Their conditions are unknown at this time.

Police say after the men were shot, they drove to the Circle K at West 70th and Linwood Avenue to get help.

That's where they told police they met an unknown man who took them to the hospital. Officers later found their vehicle at that location.

Neither man knew who shot at them or why they were being shot at, according to police.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Shreveport police or Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
