James: Cool Thursday morning, dry comfortable day

(KSLA) - Make sure to grab at least a light jacket as you step out the door this morning. We're waking up to temperatures in the mid to upper 40s. The rain is long gone, so you won't need your rain gear today.

The cold front that came through last night brought in some cooler air, so today is not going to be quite as warm. Highs will only near 70 degrees, which is about 10 degrees below average for this time of year. Expect a mostly sunny sky and northwest breeze at around 10 mph.
More clouds will build back in tonight. We might even squeeze out a few showers, but most of us will stay dry. Lows will be in the low to mid-50s.
Slight rain chances will linger into Friday, but most will see more sunshine than anything. Friday will be a touch warmer. Highs will be in the mid-70s.
From this distance, the upcoming weekend couldn't look any better. There's going to be plenty of sunshine to go around. Plus, temperatures are going to be very reasonable for this time of year. Highs on Saturday and Sunday will be in the upper 70s to near 80 degrees.
The start of next week will be warm. Highs will be in near or just above 80 degrees. A few showers will be possible at times. Decent rain and storm chances could return towards the middle or end of next week.
