SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Shreveport police are investigating after a teenager was hit by a flying bullet early Wednesday morning.

The incident happened in the 3000 block of Lindholm Street just after midnight.

Witnesses told police they heard gunshots and one of them went inside a home hitting a 14-year-old in the hip.

The teen was taken to a Shreveport hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He is expected to be OK.

Investigators arrived on scene and learned the teen was involved in an on-going dispute with other juveniles in the neighborhood.

Witnesses reported seeing several people outside of the home before to the shooting. Several shell casings were collected from the scene.

No arrests have been made and the shooting is under investigation.
