(KSLA) - Officers with the Shreveport Police Department are searching for a man who went missing after leaving a local hospital Wednesday, April 18.

Michael Victor Adams, 69, was reported missing by family members after he checked himself out of Willis Knighton Hospital, in the 2600 block of Greenwood Road, around 5:30 p.m.

He reportedly suffers from dementia and is from the Coushatta area but has lived at a residence on Standard Oil Road in the Southern Hills area of Shreveport.

Adams is described as a white male with red hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a hospital gown, blue jeans, and slippers. He reportedly walks with a limp.
