BOSSIER PARISH, LA (KSLA) - Riders from a dozen motorcycle clubs helped make Christmas brighter for a dozen children over the weekend.

Nearly 30 motorcycles escorted Santa Claus from the store on Louisiana Highway 527 in Koran to "Our Place" on Lake Bistineau on Saturday afternoon.

There, they gave clothing, 10 bicycles, scooters, dolls and other toys to four children from Texarkana, three each from Dubach and Vivian and one each from Haughton and Shreveport.

Bossier sheriff's Lt. Bill Davis says someone even presented $100 for each of the families.

The affair was spearheaded by Santa (David "Southern Santa" Trent) and his bride, Mrs. Claus (Vicki "Rebel Moon" Trent), to help families who are down on their luck for one reason or another.
