Accused GSU shooter pleads not guilty
Jaylin M. Wayne has been arrested and charged with 1st Degree Murder in connection to the shooting deaths Of Andrews and Caldwell.

GRAMBLING, LA (KSLA/KNOE) - The man accused of killing two people at Grambling State University plead not guilty on two counts of first-degree murder on Tuesday.

According to Lincoln Parish District Attorney John Belton, Jaylin Wayne, 19, was in court for arraignment in Lincoln Parish. He was arrested on Nov. 2 and indicted on Nov. 8.

Wayne said that Monquiarious Caldwell and Earl Andrews were killed in self-defense.

The dense is also asking for a change in venue.

Wayne's next court appearance is scheduled for March 13, 2018.
