GRAMBLING, LA (KSLA/KNOE) - The man accused of killing two people at Grambling State University plead not guilty on two counts of first-degree murder on Tuesday.

According to Lincoln Parish District Attorney John Belton, Jaylin Wayne, 19, was in court for arraignment in Lincoln Parish. He was arrested on Nov. 2 and indicted on Nov. 8.

Wayne said that Monquiarious Caldwell and Earl Andrews were killed in self-defense.

The dense is also asking for a change in venue.

Wayne's next court appearance is scheduled for March 13, 2018.
