MINDEN, LA (KSLA) - Minden police are offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone in connection with a recent homicide.
Kendrick Tyrone "Ty" Sumlin's girlfriend found the 35-year-old sometime after 11:30 p.m. Sunday outside his vehicle on Quarles Street in Minden.
Police say he had a wound to the back of his head.
Investigators found no shell casings and no exit wound, so they were unsure whether Sumlin had been shot or had suffered from blunt-force trauma.
They have since determined that Sumlin had been shot in his head.
Detectives equipped with a metal detector returned to the scene Monday morning to look for shell casings.
Police have not stated an amount for the reward.
Authorities ask anyone with any information to call Minden police at (318) 371-4226. Callers can remain anonymous.
