SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - First responders were on the scene of a crash involving a pedestrian in the parking lot of a Shreveport airport Monday morning.

Police say a person was struck by a vehicle around 7:30 a.m. in a parking lot on Hollywood Avenue between the intersection of Monkhouse Drive at the Shreveport Regional Airport.

A spokesman from the airport says a woman was hit by an Avis rental car employee. She was taken to Willis-Knighton Pierremont for treatment. Her condition is unknown but she was reportedly conscious and able to get up after she was hit.

It is unclear what caused the crash.

Police did not report any traffic issues in the area of the crash.
