TEXARKANA, TX (KSLA) - A $5 debt and a ricocheting bullet are what landed a teenager in a hospital in fair condition.

The 14-year-old was shot as he and several others were playing basketball Monday evening in the 2000 block of West 17th Street in Texarkana, Texas, authorities said.

The wounded teen is expected to make a full recovery, police said.

Authorities urge anyone with any information about Henderson or the shooting to call Texarkana, Texas, police at (903) 798-3876.
