(KSLA) - Wednesday is a Severe Weather Alert Day throughout the ArkLaTex.
A few storms are expected to arrive during the early morning hours and may pose a high wind threat as they enter northwestern parts of the ArkLaTex, KSLA StormTracker 12 Chief Meteorologist Jeff Castle said.
The greater risk for severe weather is expected to develop Wednesday afternoon and evening.
Widespread storms are not expected, but those that form will pose a risk of damaging wind gusts above 60 mph, hail larger than quarters and the possibility of a few tornadoes, Castle said.
