HARRISON CO., TX (KSLA) - An 18-wheeler driver and his wife had to be rescued Friday night after his big rig was blown off the interstate by high winds and heavy rain along I-20 West near mile marker 612 in Harrison County.

"Just all of a sudden it came out of nowhere," said driver Mike Kendrick. "I felt myself going to the right, so I tried to go back left. It just slid us off the road. It was that rough."

The driver says he appreciates the first responders' efforts.
