Reward offered for ETX most wanted fugitive, sex offender

RED RIVER COUNTY, TX (KSLA) - The Texas Department of Public Safety is offering a cash reward of up to $7,500 for information leading to the capture of a Red River County man.

Authorities say 37-year-old Jahmar Nykel Young is wanted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements, parole violation and larceny.

Young's last known address was in the 1400 block of West Jackson Street in Clarksville, TX. DPS says he also has ties to Parish in Lamar County and the Dallas area.

Young was convicted in 2011 of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl and was sentenced to 15 years in prison. He was paroled from prison in 2014 and has been wanted since May 2016.

The known Bloods gang member also has a criminal history that includes aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, assault and burglary of a vehicle.

Young is described as 6'4" weighing about 240 pounds with tattoos on both arms and a scar on his left elbow.
