BLANCHARD, LA (KSLA) - A missing Blanchard man has been found safe, according to his family members and the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office.

William "Rusty" Walters, 53, was found this morning by Caddo Parish detectives around 10:30 a.m. Deputies report he was found in the parking lot of Cash Magic on Highway 1 near Vivian.

His wife, Christie Walters, told KSLA he blew out one of the tires of his car in the parking lot and told people nearby that he wasn't feeling good.

He was sent to Willis-Knighton Bossier Health Center.

Walters went missing Monday at 7:20 a.m. after leaving home to take his daughter to school, according to a news release from Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office.

A Facebook post said he forgot his cell phone. Walters has medical needs that require medication throughout the day.

Walters' family spent Tuesday making fliers and posting them up wherever they could. They told KSLA they just want Walters to hear their message and come home.

"Come home. Something. Just let us know you're alright. It's not like him to just disappear like this," Christie Walters said.

The family told KSLA he is now resting and recovering in the hospital.
