NATCHITOCHES, LA (KSLA) - A Natchitoches man was arrested after police say he lead them on a chase through the heart of the city.
Just after 10 p.m. on Saturday night police got a call about a hit and run crash on Behan Street. Officers found a car matching the description of the vehicle that left the scene at the Turbo Car Wash on Amulet Street.
Police say 39-year-old Vincent Roberson was arrested for a host of charges following the incident.
Police tried to pull Roberson over Second Street and Amulet but he took off. During the pursuit, he reportedly rammed into a Natchitoches police car. Also during the pursuit, police sat Roberson repeatedly threw suspected drugs out of the vehicle in an attempt to destroy evidence.
When Roberson finally stopped at the 100 block of Second Street, police say he resisted arrest.

He is charged with 2 counts hit and run, careless operation, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting an officer, aggravated flight from an officer, obstruction of justice, littering, open container, 3 counts of failure to yield at stop sign, and 2 counts of disobey traffic control signals.
