SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - A man jumped out of his car right before his engine bursts into flames on a major Shreveport interstate Monday morning.
It happened just before 2 a.m. along I-49 over the Pierremont Road overpass.
Police say the engine of the older model Toyota Camry caught fire as the driver was on the interstate. The driver was able to escape safely and the fire was put out quickly.
Traffic was diverted as crews worked to put out the flames, but all lanes have since reopened.
